Erika was our midwife for my two pregnancies.

Every birth was different and Erika gave to me

always feel safe. She could handle any complication and was able to keep all outside influences away from me so that I could prepare for the event to come. Even after the births, she was always there to advise me on my questions and concerns. I felt very lovingly and competently cared for.

With Erika, I was fortunate to have a very sensitive, committed midwife who looked after me during my 2nd SS and birth.

My first child was delivered spontaneously with a caesarean section and I really wanted to try a vaginal birth for my second pregnancy. Together with me, she took my wish seriously and we prepared realistically for it. Together with a wonderful doctor I had the best team I could imagine and the birth went as I had hoped.

Erika was the best midwife! As a first time mum with very little German, she explained everything calmly but truthfully.

At 20 months, we had a crash course lesson with her about the Labor and Birth (my husband joined). She discussed it in detail and was open to our questions. She will give you the hard truths and be honest about things that can change last minute.

While in the hospital, I was laboring for so long but did not dilate enough. We decided to go with a c section. Not once did Erika leave me! She kept us informed of what she was doing and the possible next steps. Her advice and care were essential. I believe she helped us make the right decisions early to have a safe and healthy delivery!

Even after the birth, she consulted with us a few more times to help us be confident to take care of our baby. She is fantastic!

Erika was precious in all ways at the birth of my daughter, from our first meeting to the birth course with my partner and the actual birth, she guided me in her calm but firm way, and made it a birth experience in all confidence and as beautiful as it can get knew - so much that I immediately I wanted a second child! When I got pregnant with my second child I immediately asked Erika to be at my side this time around again and the birth, as different as it was, was done in all confidence that I was in the best hands- she is a huge part of who I became through those two births and I will forever be in her debt.

At all times, our questions were patiently answered, our growing excitement calmed and our worries defused. We only have positive memories of this special time and Erika made a great contribution to it. Erika was our chosen midwife who supported us before, during and after the birth of our first child - and I have to say it was fate that we found her - in our opinion the best midwife ever!

Erika is a very lovable and patient midwife, she doesn't beat about the bush for a long time, but says straight out what's going on - but does so with a calmness and calm that you feel well cared for every second and really well cared for.

Both the care before the birth (midwife talks, birth preparation course) and the care during the birth itself and the aftercare could not have been better! Erika is always there when you don't know what to do and was there to help and advise us when we had initial breastfeeding problems and sore nipples.

All in all, Erika is the number 1 choice - we couldn't have asked for better care!

Both my two girls were born with her precious support and I couldn't be happier of the treatment received, both pre, during and post partum. We found Erika through the Goldenes Kreuz website and we liked her from the start. After a few complications, I was a rather anxious pregnant woman, but the calmness and conscientiousness that Erika exudes calmed me down immediately. Both during the pregnancy - whenever there were questions or uncertainties - as well as during the nocturnal rupture of membranes, the 32 hours until the natural birth of our perfect daughter, and the aftercare in the postpartum period, we always felt well cared for and taken seriously. Erika knew that I wanted to avoid a caesarean section as much as possible and for hours she did everything possible to make a natural birth possible, while she, without showing it, had long since initiated plan B for the safety of my child. She was also there to help with breastfeeding difficulties and the first breast infection, showed us the best way to bathe our baby and had recommendations for acupuncture and post-natal rehabilitation. I couldn't have asked for more from my midwife and I'm still very happy when we meet on the street. For me, Erika was exactly the right person to accompany me through pregnancy and birth and I can wholeheartedly recommend her to all (expectant) mothers.

I met Erika at the first midwife consultation for the mother-child passport. I felt comfortable right from the start and we harmonized so well that she even accompanied me when my son was born. Erika is the best. Always had an ear for everything and always made time for me/us. In preparation, my husband and I also booked a birth preparation course with her. The course was super informative, not only for me but also for my husband. Erika is not only technically top but also extremely empathetic and reacted perfectly for us in all situations. Again and again!!

Although I had thought a lot about a/my "peaceful birth", a lot was unclear. Erika was therefore an important anchor. She always listened to me sincerely and made me feel that my wishes were taken seriously. In the end it was a Caesarean section and a fairly quick birth. Erika was totally reliable and immediately there when things had to be done quickly. You and our doctor sweetened our little Jonathan's first moments and we were very happy to know that he was in Erika's professional hands.

What I wasn't aware of was that aftercare and breastfeeding advice became extremely important. I highly recommend Erika.

Erika was the midwife on duty when my daughter was born and accompanied me through an extreme situation (there was no more time for the epidural) in a competent, calm and loving manner. When my son was later born, I didn't want to leave anything to chance and let her accompany me during my pregnancy. It was important to me to know someone who stayed with us all the time and who I could trust so well.

We were so lucky of meeting Erika and having her as midwife for our daughter! We got to know we were expecting a baby during the first Covid wave and the numerous lockdowns and restrictions didn't allow us to live the preparation of birth as we would have wished. However, Erika has always been really available both in person and online; during the pregnancy and after birth.

Her expertise and positivity made the preparation and delivery very relaxing and we would definitely recommend her!

I would have preferred nobody at my side during the birth than Erika. I loved the calm and serenity she exuded. That gave me a lot of security and relaxed me. What I especially appreciated before the birth was that she was so honest throughout. It was clear to me from the start that there could be complications from a breech presentation and we talked about it openly and in a relaxed manner. I am grateful that despite everything that came my way, she always supported me and never talked me out of my intention to have my child vaginally.

Erika is not only your midwife, but a shoulder to cry on, a friend who accompanies you and a mom who always has good advice for you and takes good care of you. From the very first conversation, we were made to feel very welcome and professional. We are eternally grateful to Erika for accompanying us during our pregnancy, as well as for the aftercare of our two daughters, and we will remember them very fondly. If we are expecting another child, Erika will be our number one. :)

Stress-free and geared entirely to the needs of the mothers-to-be, she introduced us to her work. “I can accompany any type of birth.” I remember this sentence well. And her confidence was justified. Without Erika, I certainly would not have given birth to our baby so well. Her childbirth preparation course was entertaining and informative. I went home with clear tips and instructions on what to do up until the birth and after the onset of labour. That gave me security and trust.

When the birth began, Erika was 100% there for us and competently navigated us through the entire birthing process. Her empathetic and relaxed attitude made a significant contribution to the fact that we were happy to place ourselves in her hands before, during and after the birth. I can heartily recommend her!
